Dryland Training

Dryland Training is off ice skating specific conditioning. Our spring/summer program encompasses a wide variety of training techniques, including plyometrics, technique drills, running and stretching.

Craig Pielechowski, a National Short Track Speedskating Champion in the 60 to 69 year catagory, coaches our diverse program on Monday and Thursday nights, with options for additional training opportunities.

Monday's workouts will primarily focus on skating specific exercises and drills, while Thursday's will be geared towards developing foot speed utilizing a mostly plyometric workout.

While our Dryland training is short track specific, anyone (especially hockey, figure and in-line skaters as well as cyclists) looking to improve their fitness will benefit from our program.

To participate all you need to do is bring running or cross training shoes, something to drink, a towel to wipe away the sweat, and a desire to work hard and have fun.
