Our fun and varied practices consist of skating drills, lap skates, and simulated races. Members receive both group and individual instruction, affording everyone the opportunity to learn and grow. Our skaters are grouped according to ability (fast, faster and fastest), and all three groups are on the ice at the same time. While one group is skating on the track, the others are working on technique in the center of the ice, or simply warming up or cooling down while waiting their turn.
We have practice times at Bud Bakewell (Riverside) Ice Rink and at Cazenovia Park Ice Rink from September through March. For directions and practice times check below.

During the regular skating season, we have dedicated Ice at Buffalo State on Friday mornings. There are no pads, but for an hour and fifty minutes you can skate laps, working on technique, stamina, and straight-a-way development. Click below for a printable schedule:
Please note that this is organized by friends of Buffalo Speedskating and not a club run skating session.
